The purpose of this study is to describe the students’ learning process and address issues in pediatric nursing practice related to the on-campus training program as well as to examine the future of the practice. The results of the questionnaire survey and the practical training reports showed that,  through the on-campus practice, the students learned the elements required for pediatric nursing practice, including children’s traits and unique methods of caring for children. However, the results also showed that there were issues with learning about children’s reactions from hands-on experience and about proper ethical attitudes . It is important for on-campus practice to\tprovide teaching material that matches the purpose of   training, to devise teaching methods that expand students’ knowledge, and to plan and organize conferences.
