The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between walking abilities and dietary habits in community-living older women. Participants of this study were all older women (n=713) aged 65-79 living in Nanporo town. The final study population consisted of 580 people. To judge walking abilities, subjects were asked to answer of the following questions ; (1) can you walk for 5~10 minutes without taking a rest? (2) can you walk for about 20~40 minutes without taking a rest? And (3) can you walk for about 1 hour without taking a rest? In the case that question number 1, it was to judge the subject as "having limitation" for walking ability. Also, the subjects answered questions about their dietary habits ten years ago, particularly concerning; quantity of meals; oils and fats; vegetables; salt content; and snacks. By multiple logistic-regression analysis, we analyzed the relationship between current walking ability and dietary habits ten years ago, adjusting for age, BMI, smoking and the presence of chronic disease. Significant relations were revealed concerning the quantity of meals, amount of oil and fats, in relation to walking limitations. However, as present study relied on the past memories of the subjects, a prospective study is still required in order to obtain more accurate information.}, pages = {25--30}, title = {地域女性高齢者の歩行能力と過去の食習慣の関係}, volume = {7}, year = {2007}, yomi = {オカベ, テツコ and シガ, カズキ and ハセガワ, メグミ and オカベ, テツコ and シガ, カズキ and ハセガワ, メグミ and オカベ, テツコ and シガ, カズキ and ハセガワ, メグミ} }
