| 内容記述 | 本稿はアウグスティヌスにおけるカリタスとしての愛の意義について詳論する。ニーグレン・アンダースによれば、キリスト教の愛はアガペであるが、ギリシア哲学の愛はエロスである。エロス的な要素を持たない純粋なアガペはキリスト教本来の愛である。それゆえ彼はアウグスティヌスのカリタス論がエロスとアガペの混合であると主張しただけでなく、それを批判した。そこでアウグスティヌスの主張を検討し、次の結論を得た。アウグスティヌスによれば、人間の意志が神のアガペを受け容れるとき、カリタスとしての愛が成立する。それゆえカリタスはエロスとアガペの混合ではなく、むしろアガペの完成である。このカリタスは人間を真の幸福へと導き、真の共同体を作る。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study discusses the significance of Love as caritas (i.e.,charity) in Augustine. According to Anders Nygren, Christian love is agape, while the love in Greek philosophy is eros, however pure agape, which does not include the eros elements, is the original Christian love. Therefore, he not only claimed that Augustine’s theory of caritas is a mixture of agape and eros, but also criticized it. Conclusion from the research on Augustin’s theory shows that, according to Augustine, love as caritas comes into existence when Man’s will accepts God’s agape. Therefore, caritas is not a mixture of agape and eros, rather it is the completion of agape. This caritas leads Man to true happiness, and creates a true community. | |||||||||||||
