| 内容記述 | The general self efficacy scale (GSES) and the Japanese version of state-trait anxiety inventory (STAI) was administered to 52 couples longitudinally five times over a period from early pregnancy through the first two months postpartum for the purpose of understanding changes in self-efficacy and anxiety of women and their husbands during the perinatal period. It was found that; 1) women had high state anxiety in early and late pregnancy and the two months postpartum, while experiencing high self-efficacy in late pregnancy and the two months postpartum, 2) if state anxiety in either one of the couple increased before and after delivery, the other also developed high state anxiety, 3) those with high trait anxiety, either women or husbands, throughout the entire perinatal period had high state anxiety, and 4) women with high trait anxiety during pregnancy and husbands with that throughout the entire perinatal period had low self-efficacy, and women with high trait or state anxiety after delivery did not necessarily had reduced self-efficacy. These results indicate that self-efficacy (sense of confidence) during the perinatal period is greatly influenced by anxiety, that anxiety levels change over the course of pregnancy, and that there always exists an interaction, which could be either positive or negative, between a woman's anxiety and her husband's. The results also suggest the importance of assistance in increasing husbands' self-efficacy, although the focus of care during pregnancy tends to be on women. | |||||||||||||
